Things to know
- Cellular: Bell and Telus work well at chalet, Vidéotron/Rogers spotty
- GPS: Google Maps reliable; Waze sometimes suggests bad shortcuts
- Winter: snow tires mandatory Dec 1 to March 15; Route 327 well-maintained, last km on chemin Cambria is rural
- Summer weekends: Hwy 15 jammed Fri 3-7 PM (NB) and Sun 3-8 PM (SB) — shift travel if possible
Costs (couple, return Montreal-Gore)
~$25-35 fuel + free tolls + ~$25 coffee/lunch + ~$120-180 week 1 groceries = ~$170-240 initial round trip. Vs ~$150-200 Uber one-way — driving is much cheaper.
