Lake Barron is navigable
Everything begins on the water. Private dock, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing.
The lake, plainly
- Lake Barron is a navigable lake in the Laurentians, located in Gore (Quebec).
- Motorboats permitted: electric, or gasoline up to 60 HP — no personal watercraft, no ballasted wake/wakesurf/water-ski boats.
- The house has a private dock providing direct access to the lake.
- The lake is usable summer and winter — skating and snowshoeing once the ice is at least 10 cm thick (ice fishing not permitted).
- Area 0.888 km², maximum depth 33.9 m, mean 10.9 m. Clear water, swimming directly from the dock.

Prior declaration and approval required at booking.
Accepted
- Pontoon with motor of 60 HP or less
- Rowboat
- Unmasted sailboat
- Kayak, canoe, paddleboard, pedal boat
Not permitted
- Wake, wakesurf or water-ski boats with ballast
- Personal watercraft (Sea-Doo, jet ski)
- Any motor above 60 HP
Mandatory conditions
- Valid Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
- Renter liability insurance covering the boat
- Attested cleaning, draining and drying since the last launch on another body of water (zebra mussels, Eurasian watermilfoil)
